Our 14th annual club show was a fantastic success. It was one of our best shows ever.
Kudo’s to Burt & Sally and the entire staff at Water
Garden Gems for all HARD WORK and show enhancements this year. Special
thanks to all TKFGS members that helped with the show set up, staffing and tear
down. I especially want to thank Eddie, Bill, Jeanie, Diane & Ralph,
Gary & Sandra, J.R. & Sue, Kathii & Barry, Tommy, Joan, Raymond,
Mac, Jennifer & Tom, Bob, Debby, Ben & Sandi, Martha and Ray, and
Carsten. All put in mucho hard work and helped make our show a
tremendous success. Also special thanks to my show committee – made up of
Eddie Elizondo, J.R. Hensley, and Joan Berryman.
We are very grateful for our judges, Terry Cusick, John Barcellona,
Pam Spindola, Galen Hansen, Bob Brudd, and Dave Young.
Also for Debby Young who traveled from Tucson to run the computer program
to track the judging results. And trained Ben Soedjono from the Dallas Koi Kichi
Group who will be handling the computer tracking for future shows.
Special thank you to everyone that brought their beautiful fish to
the show for all to enjoy. We especially want to thank Dan Charnes, Gene Smith,
Ray Litman, Bill & Diana Toohey Michael Kimberling, and Melanie Nau all
showed fish at our show for the first time. All won awards.
Special welcome to all the new club members that joined our group during the
show. We hope to see you at one of our regular monthly meetings, field trips, or
parties.

2006 SEMINARS: Special thanks to all
the Speakers and presenters at this
years seminars. This
year’s seminar line up included presentations on: Water
Gardening, Pond Construction, Fish Diseases, Biological Filtration, Aquatic
Plants, Koi & Goldfish Care, Koi & Goldfish Standards.
FISH AUCTION: We
had an auction of show and pond quality fish Sunday afternoon. We are very
grateful to all the vendors and club members that donated fish for this event.
Thank You Brett Rowley, Vance Schultze, Ornamental Pond Fish, Out of the Woods
Koi, and TKFGS members. As a special bonus about 100 top grade baby koi of many
varieties were donated by Vance Schultze. These baby koi were auctioned in
pre-bagged lots of 6-10 koi. Total
auction sales were $1,155 with 50% donated to AKCA – Project KHV.
